Oh no, I use Vegas all the time also. I don´t have any good suggestion, except for maybe Windows Movie Maker 2.6. It sounds crappy, but it really does the basic stuff well.

Also read here:
http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-xp/best-video-editing-program-for-xp/135080.html

Google helps, like most of the time. Shocked

I have a Windows XP OS and it's not as fast as other OSs like Windows 7, especially with video editing, making videos, Visual Basic and other big programs, but in my opinion, it's probably the best OS for many different things besides using big programs as mentioned above.

May be, but Windows 7 is the best by far overall. It works almost as well as one would like to have it if it´s about the perfect computer.

I've tried Windows 8 (eight) before and I've got to say that I didn't like it one bit at all. I just don't like where everything is and the layout of the desktop and whatnot. It's pretty expensive too for what you're getting.

I wouldn't really mind using it for gaming and whatnot though.

Uhm, what the hell?
The price used to be 30€ or something but now it´s over 100...

I looked up on Google how much they can cost and some of those Mac computers and Windows 8 tablets are over $1,000!

For Mac you pretty much pay double in general. Windows 8 is probably equipped with amazing hardware due to the price.
