1 Anyone On Here Mine Coins? on 9/24/2014, 4:00 am

Just wondering if anyone on here mines Bitcoins or other Crypto coins? Or if anyone even knows what a Bitcoin is? I just started mining Peercoin and Dogecoins today and I already have 6,000 Dogecoins, which is about $2. My pool hasn't finished the Peercoin block yet, but I estimate I'm going to make at least $1.50 after the block is hashed. If you can get about 5 Gridseeds for really cheap, like under $100, which is very rare, but can happen, you can either sell them for $70 a piece or mine the fuck out of the blockchain and in a few years (depending on the stocks and the right coin) you can possibly have millions! It's happened to a few people already!

The coin that I recommend mining is either Doge, Name, Peer or Lite. These ones are starting to slowly climb up the stocks and they're eventually going to become just like Bitcoin; being worth almost $600 a fucking coin! Bitcoin mining is completely useless, unless you just bought a 1 TH/s miner for under $100, which will never happen.

Just Google "How to mine Bitcoins" or just "Bitcoin" and you'll see what I mean. Wink

Anyways, just wanted to know.

lol Not really. If you're thinking it's a scam, you can Google and YouTube it yourself. You just have to pick the right miner(s) and the right coin(s) to mine and you'll be able to make a huge profit in at least a few years. Trust me, I've been doing this for a while now, but I guess everyone has their own opinion.

Binary, no offence, but you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about. This shit's 100% legal. You use it to convert into real money or into other crypto coins. It's an actual currency and this is the only way to get it. Like I said, do some Googling and you'll see for yourself.

@Bully

Well, obviously; you get to make a shit tonne more and among other things. xD My buddies and I just do this for fun and because I have an addiction to computer shit. And no, this isn't my job. I just do this on my leisure time.

Spoiler:

So if I have a powerful PC, is this going to be useful for mining? xD

Edit:
No, they say electricity is more expensive. I'll pass then Neutral

GPU and CPU mining is dead, even if you have the best GPU / CPU in the world, it just ain't going to cut it. The most GPU's produce is no more than 750 KH/s and that's for the damn good computers. To mine with hardware miners, it doesn't matter what kind of computer you use, because it's not the computer hashing, it's the hardware. All you need is software, such as cgminer and the necessary hardware to power the miner and you're good to go.  Wink

EDIT:

Yes, it does cost quite a bit to run them, depending on what your PSU is. If it's a box PSU, like one in a computer, then you're looking at high electricity costs. If it's a USB hub, the costs are extremely small. If you look on the hardware description for the purchase page on eBay or whatever site you're using, it will tell you what kind of PSU you will need and how much power it will draw.

Yes, but they give shit all. The ones that I use are only for Bitcoin, because Bitcoin mining is completely dead. The true way to get coins is to mine them. I have about 4,000 Dogecoins, just by using a single faucet though. By the way, I split your previous post into a topic called "Bitcoin Sites". That's why I deleted it. I'll add some sites into that thread as well.
